What it is really like from the inside out. You will definitely laugh, cry, get angry and feel compassion for those who chose this career. A career that is all too often glamorized beyond recognition. I must say, I also work for the LAFD and have known Max for over 20 years. I had the opportunity to work side by side on the rescue ambulance with him. He is by far one of the most incredible paramedics I have ever seen. Wrapped inside his rough exterior is a compassionate, devoted man who truly cares for the public he serves. Who will always do what is right for the patient no matter what the situation is or how exhausted he might feel. I watched Max labor over this book and he put all of himself into doing so. Thank you so much for writing this book; for saying what so many of us feel and what we so desperately needed for family and friends to understand.
